Precautions for Using SMT Components (Part 1)

XPCB Limited carries out internal quality control in strict accordance with ISO requirements. After the components or parts assisted by external processing are purchased into the factory, they need to undergo random inspection or full inspection by the inspector before entering the warehouse. If the pass rate is found to be less than the national standard, the goods shall be returned immediately, and the inspection results shall be recorded in writing. The storage and use of components are also strictly in accordance with the following requirements:

Environmental conditions for storage of SMT components

• Ambient temperature: inventory temperature <40℃.
• The temperature at the production site is less than 30°C.
• Ambient temperature: <RH60%.
• Ambient atmosphere: There must be no toxic gases such as sulfur, chlorine, acid, etc. that affect welding performance in the inventory and use environment.
• Anti-static measures: to meet the anti-static requirements of SMT components.

Storage cycle of components

Counting from the production date of the component manufacturer, the inventory time should not exceed 2 years; the inventory time after the purchase of the complete machine factory user generally does not exceed one year; if it is a complete machine factory with a relatively humid natural environment, SMT components should be purchased Use for 3 months, and take appropriate moisture-proof measures in the storage place and component packaging. SMT devices with moisture-proof requirements: must be used within 72 hours after opening, and the longest should not exceed one week. If it can’t be used up, it should be stored in a drying box with RH20%. SMD devices that have been damp should be dried and dehumidified according to regulations.
