(3) The development trend of copper clad laminates
As the world’s major PCB manufacturers have set up factories in China, the resulting industrial clustering effect has brought good development opportunities for my country’s PCB upstream and downstream manufacturers. The copper clad laminate is the circuit carrying basis of the printed circuit board, and the printed circuit board is an indispensable main component of most electronic products.

The production of CCL is becoming more and more centralized. The trend of Evergrande, the big player in the CCL industry, is obvious. All major CCL manufacturers have implemented the strategy of leading scale, and the production capacity has increased rapidly, even exceeding the growth rate of PCB, but the meager profit is an inevitable trend.

Based on the capacity expansion of major CCL manufacturers in Taiwan and mainland China, it is estimated that the global capacity growth rate will reach 23.67% in 2007, while the Chinese capacity growth rate will be as high as nearly 30%. Even if the growth rate of PCB output value is used to replace the growth rate of copper clad laminate output value, its capacity expansion will still be much higher than the demand growth. Therefore, although the copper clad laminate industry will maintain a relatively stable growth at present, the large-scale expansion may face an industry recession caused by overcapacity.

Compared with foreign countries, the concentration of CCL is relatively low, but compared with PCB, the concentration is still relatively high. Among the world’s major CCL manufacturers, 8 of the top 10 companies are mainly based in foreign countries, and only 2 companies are based in China. Among these companies, Japan accounts for 3, Europe and the United States account for 2, Taiwan accounts for 2, and South Korea accounts for 1. Especially in Japan, the United States, Europe, and South Korea, 1 or 2 companies account for the entire country and region. More than 50% of the main sales volume of the company shows strong intensification. In comparison, nearly 113 companies are producing CCL in my country, and one company accounts for less than 0.3% of the global share on average.

On the one hand, China is a big country in the manufacture of copper clad laminates and has the largest number of copper clad laminate manufacturing enterprises in the world. .

At present, China’s CCL industry is: although the volume is large but the value is low, the industry is strong and the enterprise is weak, which provides opportunities for development and integration for CCL enterprises.
