DIP plug-in unit

DIP is a kind of in-line packaging technology, which uses dual in-line method to package the circuit board and finally form an integrated circuit. Most small-scale integrated circuits are operated in this way, and the number of pins is less than 100. Of course, it is also possible to directly insert pins on the CPU  with the same number of holes , and the pins needs to be inserted into a socket with a DIP structure. Pay attention when plugging and unplugging DIP packaged chips, because the pins of the chips are very fragile. It is easy to break the pins.

At present, SMT processing technology is developed rapidly. Although there has been a trend to replace DIP technology, it is not time for DIP plug-in units to completely disappear from the processing stage; you must know that in the PCBA manufacturing process, there are always some special components. These special components must be processed in this way. Therefore, DIP still occupies an important position in the processing. But compared to the automation of SMT, this mode requires a lot of labor.
